The Traverse City Track Club is a non-profit organization founded in 1962 by Traverse City-area running enthusiasts who wanted to make the enjoyment of running and walking available to everyone. In the last 56 years, TCTC has created some of the area's premier running events which have enabled the organization to donate over $1.6 million in funds to date for grants and scholarships, including equipment, expertise and elbow grease to area schools, organizations and individuals. The Bayshore Marathon, on Memorial Day Saturday each year since 1983, is our most popular event, known nationwide as a top destination distance event.
Grand Prix Series
The Traverse City Track Club Grand Prix Series is for everyone, regardless of speed. With over 60 races in the series, the Grand Prix is a great way to tour our five-county region, meet new running friends, and help represent the TCTC.

TRAIL RUN Series
Traverse City Track Club presents the "Third Thursday" Trail Run Series. Runs are held on the third Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. on area trail systems with 5k and 10k options available for all paces and abilities.
Join us on Wednesday evenings starting June 13th for our 56 year old summer running and walking program, the weekly runner hang-out in Traverse City during the summer. This informal race and training program consists of distances between 3 miles and 7 miles. They include handicap, prediction and team-handicap races so runners of all ages and abilities can come out on top.
Weekly fun runs
Come join us every week. Run, socialize and meet fellow runners! There is no charge and you do not need to be a member to run. All paces are welcome, and we map out 3 and 5 mile routes for runners... We might even have a root beer or two afterward!
Have a goal to become a runner? Have a goal to complete your first 5K? Signed up for a half marathon in the season ahead? The Late Summer Training Sessions are designed for you!
Upcoming Local runs, Races, & events!
Recognizing that many of our members are not only tops in their age group, but also role-models of a healthy lifestyle that includes running, we created an official Racing Team in 2014. Wearing the official Racing Team jersey, these amazing runners have represented our club at all levels, including local, state and national events including the Boston Marathon.
