Put on your snowshoes and run through the beautiful snow-covered Grass River Natural Area as a fundraiser for our programs! This snowshoe race in northern Michigan is only a short distance from Traverse City. A prize is awarded to overall male and female 5K/10K winners. Registration at 9:00 and race at 10:00. 10k runners do two loops of the course.

$20 Registration includes:
- a one-of-a-kind race on beautiful trails through wetlands and woods
- a soup voucher for a free soup lunch at Short's Brewery on race day
- after-race snacks and refreshments
- 1st place prize is awarded to one overall male and female for the 5K and 10K

Race fee is $20 in advance or a $25 race fee on race day

Event Schedule
Saturday, January 12:

9:00 a.m. - Grass River Center opens for parking and registration.  The Center is heated with restrooms. 
10:00am - 5k/10k snowshoe race begins outside Center.
10:30am - After race snacks and refreshments.
11:00am - Awards, snacks, and then head to Short's brewery if you'd like a soup lunch and beer! (free Short's soup vouchers for racers!)
