2018 Bayshore and More Training Program – Winter Session

January 20 – May 26th

 

Thinking about becoming a runner, training for your first 5K, 10K, half or full marathon and seeking a comprehensive training program in a supportive environment? Completed one or more half and/or full marathons and looking for the next dimension in your training?

Traverse City Track Club (TCTC) is pleased to kick off our 2018 Training Season with a variety of training programs designed to help you achieve your distance running goals!

The 2018 Bayshore and More Training Program is organized by runners for runners, and runs Saturday mornings January 20th, 2018 through May 26th, 2018.  Training schedules target TCTC’s Bayshore events or other Spring 2018 running events from beginners to marathoners!

 

Bayshore and More Training Program Information Night

On the fence if this is for you?  Bayshore and More Training Program Information Night is Monday, December 11th, 2017 at Commonplace at 223B Lake St. Traverse City at 6:30 p.m.

 

Bayshore and More Training Program includes:

  • Organized and supported Saturday morning runs held on a variety of courses in the Traverse City area.
  • Runs begin at 8:00 a.m. (7:45 pre-run discussion)
  • Pace and goal event training schedules with day-by-day workouts.
  • Weekly email and blog site communications with training tips, schedules, and more
  • Supportive and encouraging Mentor with pace groups ranging from 8:00 min/miles and faster to 12-minute miles and slower.
  • Informative Bayshore and More Jump Start Session Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., offering a review and question answer session to get you off to a good start.  Location to be announced.
  • A FUN and supportive winter training experience with shared camaraderie and team spirit.

 

The cost of the Bayshore and More Training Program is $40 for a 9-week session, and $75 for an 18-week session.

 

Training Class Overview - 5 Levels of Training

(9 Week Session) If you’re new to running, looking to transition from walking or just to complete your first 5k, this program is for you. Coaches will provide a detailed 9-week plan that gradually builds you from walking to running. $40
(18 Week Session) If you’re new to running, looking to transition from walking or just to complete your first 5k, this program is for you. Coaches will provide a detailed 18-week plan that gradually builds you from walking to running. $75
(9 Week Session) If you’re already running some and wish to prepare for this popular 3.1 mile distance, this program is for you. Coaches will design a detailed 9- week plan that will motivate & inspire you to be ready come race day. $40
(18 Week Session) If you’re already running some and wish to prepare for this popular 3.1 mile distance, this program is for you. Coaches will design a detailed 18- week plan that will motivate & inspire you to be ready come race day. $75
(9 Week Session) If you’re already running and wish to focus on races from 6.2 to 9.3 miles, this program is for you. Coaches will design a detailed 9-week plan that builds on the base you have established and prepare you to race your best. $40
(18 Week Session) If you’re already running and wish to focus on races from 6.2 to 9.3 miles, this program is for you. Coaches will design a detailed 18-week plan that builds on the base you have established and prepare you to race your best. $75
(18 Week Session) For runners who wish to focus on races from 13.1 to 15.5 miles, this program will get you there with a detailed 18- week plan that builds on your established base and prepares you for the best effort you can put forward. $75
(18 Week Session) Whether you are ready to take that leap from a half to full marathon or are inspired to run Boston, we provide a detailed 9-week plan customized to your current training level. This program will have you race day ready. $75

 

 

Other Information:

Assistance is available prior to signing up to help determine which level is best for you. (Contact information below) Participants are not locked in to the scheduled days of training or the initial level they choose. Participants will meet after completion of a program for recognition of success.

Half and Full marathon are 18 week sessions only.

Participants will be asked to log their training. Planned races can be worked into your level of training with advance notice. (Contact information below)

A minimum of 20 participants is required by the registration closing date.
