Best running advice given to me: You can’t win a race in the first 1/2 mile, but you can lose it by going out too hard.

Dumbest running moment: In High School, fasted for 24 hours, then ran 16 miles to hit the wall on the Tuesday before a Saturday marathon. Then carbo loaded for 4 days. That was my mentors advice, and what we thought was best in 1983. Taper…whats that! :)

What other interests do you have outside of running? Real Estate Investing, boating/fishing, jet skiing, watching sporting events-mainly High School and College, spending time with family.

How do you feel about and how do you plan to represent the Traverse City Track Club as a Race Team member?

Excited to be part of the team. Positive reinforcement with other running members…run on Wednesdays as much as possible, and with the Saturday morning group. Volunteer more.
